MyProtein whey flavors review

MyProtein whey flavors review. My Protein is one of the bigger supplement companies out there with a wide variety of whey protein and whey isolate protein out there.

This MyProtein whey flavors review covers a lot of the flavors, but not all of them. I’ll be adding new ones when I tried them out!

Their prices are relatively low, while not compromising on quality. The only thing that is less in comparison to other companies is their less fancy packaging.

Luckily for them (and for us), we don’t have to eat the packaging, it is all about the protein powder.

MyProtein whey flavors review

But what is the best myprotein flavor? Or the best myprotein whey isolate flavor? You don’t want to end up with a kilo of protein powder that you don’t like.

By know it is safe to say that I’ve tried a majority of the flavors out there, so here is my honest review of the ones that I tried.

We start with the myprotein whey review, and then the myprotein whey isolate reviews.

Know that everyone’s taste is different, so what I like might not be the flavor for you. But you do get a better idea of the overall flavor idea.

Impact whey protein review

Apple crumble and custard whey protein 5/5

We immediately start off with one of my favorites, the apple crumbles, and custard impact whey. Without a doubt, this one takes a place in my top 3 of all time protein flavors.

It has a gentle warm flavor that really tastes like apple pie. It takes me back to the times I went to my grandma and she made apple pie.

The most dominant flavor is the apple one for sure, with a slight hint of custard. The balance is great and overall a sweet flavor but not too sweet.

Normally I am not a big fan of fruity flavors but this one is an exception.

The balance between the apple, pie and custard flavor is amazing and makes it not too sweet or fruity. Certainly one of my favorite ones out of this list! 5/5

Banoffee whey protein 2/5

Banoffee is a dessert that is made of bananas, toffee, with a cream base on some sort of pastry.

This protein powder got somewhere near the taste of the original thing, but not quite there yet. The smell of banana is very overwhelming when you open the package for the first time.

To be honest I am not the biggest fan of fruit flavored things. So I was not too excited to try this one, and to be honest it disappointed me a bit.

It was very sweet and fruity, not the best one to mix to your oatmeal or yogurt. The banana flavor was a bit too artificial for me.

The toffee, cream or pastry flavor was not there. Or the banana was so overwhelming that I could not taste it.

However, I do think that it is a great protein powder to bake with or to add to your banana bread.

It is not the worst flavor I ever tried but it could be improved by removing the artificial taste of it. I would not buy it again since there are better options out there.

That is why I rate it 2/5, it might be your thing if you really love banana. Otherwise, I would not recommend it.

Blueberry cheesecake whey protein 4/5

I was really excited to try this flavor since I am BIG cheesecake fan. Although, I was really curious how you are going to get that taste in a protein powder.

And truly, they did it pretty well. A great and natural blueberry flavor mixed with something that reminded me of cream cheese.

It was really good and well balanced, not too sweet and not too cheesy. One I definitely recommend if you are a fan of cheesecake or blueberries!

That is why I rate this blueberry cheesecake whey protein 4/5.

Chocolate brownie 5/5

I am willing to say that this is the most popular flavor from MyProtein, next to there salted caramel one. And there is a big reason for that.

This protein powder turns your shakes, oatmeal or yogurt into a brownie heaven. The taste is spot on.

However, if you are not a fan of very sweet protein, this one might not be the one for you. It is one of the sweetest they make.

It mixes extremely well and when you add it to some milk and heat it up you have hot chocolate!

It’s quite a strong flavor so you may want to switch it up with another taste so now and then. One of the most spot-on flavors, without a doubt a 5/5!

Cinnamon Danish 5/5

My three favorite flavors in the world are cheesecake, cinnamon, and peanut butter. So you might already guess I couldn’t wait to try this one!

My expectations were pretty high, and I hoped it would have the flavor of a Cinnabun. And amazingly enough, it did!

My favorite thing to do with this protein is to add it with some yogurt or to my oats. Although, I also think it would be great as a shake!

The smell is amazing when you open the package and it almost smells like a Cinnabun shop.  I rate this protein a 5/5.

Cookies and cream 4/5

We’re on a roll here, but MyProtein killed it again with a great flavor. This time the cookies and cream. This one has to be somewhere in my top 5, without a doubt.

It is really creamy and has a pleasant sweet cookie flavor, and turns your oats into paradise. The best one if you are looking for protein to mix to your oatmeal.

Cookies and cream are one of those flavors that you can’t get sick of and want to buy a huge back of.

Another great thing that you can do with this one turns your yogurt into a dessert like a mixture. Really tastes amazing!

When adding this to some yogurt it really tastes like a dessert. I rate it a 5/5.

Chocolate caramel impact whey 2/5

This protein sounded really interesting and the combination made me think of Rolo when I heard it. However, it was nothing like that

It tasted like they took the brownie flavor and just made it even sweeter. For me, this was way too sweet and there was no real caramel taste to find.

The idea and combination sound great but the execution was not. That is why I rate this on 2/5

Sticky toffee pudding impact whey 4/5

Sticky toffee pudding is one of the more interesting sounding proteins they got, so I had to try it out.

I was afraid it was going to be an overly sweet protein, just like the chocolate caramel. But boy I was wrong.

Opening the package you get welcomed with a smell of toffee that is spot on. Not only is the smell spot on, the flavor is as well.

Pecan pie impact whey 3/5

The smell is really like pecans and the taste somewhat as well. At first, I was surprised since it had a little bit of a bitter taste to it. But the aftertaste was subtle and sweet.

Definitely something different than the other ones I had tried at this point, these had all been really sweet in the beginning.

A great choice if you don’t have the biggest sweet tooth.

Vanilla impact whey 4/5

One of the best ways to judge a protein company is by trying some of the more generic flavors. And luckily they made it through the test pretty darn well!

I am pretty sure you need to try really hard to mess up a vanilla protein, but it had a great flavor so I was happy.

Nothing special or particularly good about this one, just a nice, well flavored, traditional vanilla flavor.

Maple syrup impact whey 2/5

One of the worst flavors I tried. It is sweet, really sweet. But does not taste like maple or anything I can really relate it to honesty.

The best way I can describe it is a mix of toffee, maple, honey, sweetener, and sugar.

This one was just weird and sweet, I can’t describe it better but I do not recommend it.

Rocky road impact whey 2.5/5

When you open the package the first thing you smell is chocolate, and that is also the last thing you will smell.

Or they messed up in the fabric or they forgot to add the rest of the flavor because all I could taste was chocolate. I could not taste the difference between this one or the chocolate one.

Luckily MyProtein did nail the chocolate taste, so therefore I still rate it 2.5/5. But don’t expect anything special with this one.

Tiramisu impact whey 3/5

The tiramisu actually had a nice flavor of the mixture of caramel (not as sweet as the chocolate caramel) and coffee. Really nice and interesting combination of a protein powder.

I am not sure if I’d buy it again. I do believe it is a flavor you don’t want to use all the time because you’ll get sick of it quickly. But definitely, suggest that you try it out sometime!

White chocolate impact whey 0/5

What a freaking disappointment. This was just gross. It did not taste anything like white chocolate at all.

I don’t know what it did taste like, because after two sips of my shake I threw it out. Honestly, could not finish it. If there is only one thing you take away from this review, then it should be this:

Do not, I repeat, do not try this flavor. Not worth your money or your time.

Impact whey isolate

Salted caramel whey isolate 7/5

My all-time favorite protein. The salted caramel isolate. I love this flavor and order it every single time I order something of their website.

My staple for the past year, and it tastes amazing. Nice caramel flavor, and nothing like the overly sweet ones like the chocolate brownie.

There is no real salty taste to it, but I did not expect that to be quite honest. Unquestionably one you need to try for yourself!

Natural vanilla whey isolate 4/5

Again, it is vanilla. You need to try really hard to mess this up. Although the natural one was a bit less sweet in comparison to the normal vanilla flavor.

Still, a good and strong vanilla flavor that mixes well with almost anything. Definitely a staple to have in your collection.

These were all the protein powders I have tried, yet, from MyProtein. Ones I’ll try some new ones I am sure to add them to this list!

Let me know if you tried any of these flavors in the comments and don’t forget to share!
